October 2008:
Hogwarts Halloween Ball:
On Sunday the 19th October, Battle's premier children's party organisers Parties4Poppets, summoned all children to the Hogwarts Halloween Ball to raise money for BBC's Children in Need. Battle Memorial Halls were transformed into a magical Hogwarts Hall. In keeping with Halloween there was a fabulous fancy dress parade encouraging all budding Witches, Wizards and Ghouls to show off their scariest costumes. Throughout the afternoon children participated in many activities, including decorating delicious cookies! Three lucky children won some great prizes for their wonderfully carved and decorated pumpkins! Lots of tricks, treats and magical games were enjoyed including candy floss, popcorn, toffee apples and a Hogwarts tea. With Hogwarts resident DJ playing, it was certainly a party worthy of Harry Potter! 76 local children attended and helped us raise £730.00 for BBC's Children in Need Appeal.

2007:
Mad Hatters Tea Party:
Staunch supporters of BBC's Children in Need, Parties4Poppets hosted a wonderful fundraising event in November 2007. As well as a storybook tea party, the children (who all came in fancy dress) played with the wonderful Alice in Wonderland characters, had great fun decorating their very own fairy cakes and biscuits, entered their own home-made hats into the Mad Hat Competition, played croquet with the white rabbit and joined in with lots of other mad & crazy games. 30 children came along and helped raised over £300.00 for BBCs Children in Need.
